JUDICIAL NOMINATION
NOTICE is hereby given that the Judiciary Committee of the Henrico County Bar Association has investigated the background, experience, and other qualifications of those nominated for filling the vacancy on the Circuit Court for the County of Henrico occasioned by the retirement of the Honorable James S. Yoffy, who submitted the requested background materials. Interviews of these candidates were conducted on November 11, 2020.
The Committee carefully considered whether each person under consideration possessed the qualities prescribed by the Association Bylaws. After a closed meeting of the Committee, at which opportunity was given for full and open discussion, the Committee respectfully made the recommendations required by Article XI, Section 6(B) of the Bylaws.
For the position of Judge on the Henrico County Circuit Court, the Committee recommended the following as best qualified:
Hon. Margaret W. Deglau
Hon. Rondelle D. Herman
Hon. Sharon Gregory Jacobs
Devika E. Davis, Esq.
The Committee recommended the following as qualified
Nicole L. Fox, Esq.
Misty D. Whitehead, Esq.
Pursuant to the provisions of Article XI, Section 7 of the Henrico County Bar Association Bylaws, a special assembly of the membership of the Association has been called for Wednesday, December 2, 2020 at 4:00 p.m. The purpose of the meeting is to endorse a candidate to fill the above-described vacancy on the Henrico County Circuit District Court.
The meeting and vote will take place by virtual means. Those who have paid 2020-2021 membership dues by 5:00 p.m. two business days before the assembly are eligible to participate
